Global health diplomacy is critical to the attainment of health equity and sustainable development for all. The determinants of health (commercial, legal, political, environmental and social) cannot be resolved at a technical level alone and require a range of conversations with a range of stakeholders. At the same time global health diplomacy is the work of all of us, from Global Health Ambassadors to researchers to humanitarian and health agencies and those with lived experience of burdens of disease.
This year the Australian Global Health Alliance in partnership with the Australian Network of WHO Collaborating Centres invites you to join the annual online Alliance Global Health Congress for a wide ranging discussion on the multi-faceted world of Global Health Diplomacy. What it means, who does this work – and who and what should be empowered more in our work as we strive to build healthier and more equitable societies around the world.
We will share these conversations with distinguished leads in global health diplomacy regionally and globally and hear from intergenerational voices as we look to challenges and opportunities of the future.
